Originally from Créteil, French pianist Simon Denizart moved to Montreal in 2011. Named Radio-Canada’s Révélation in 2016, he has already released four acclaimed albums, including NOMAD (2021), praised for its unique encounter between piano and calabash and nominated at the ADISQ Awards. Winner of the Audience Award at FestiJazz de Rimouski (2014), he has earned multiple ADISQ nominations and captivated critics with his sensitive yet energizing playing. Performing on stages worldwide, he has collaborated with Dominique Fils-Aimé, Fred Wesley, and KIDBEKID. In 2023, he joined Justin Time Records for his fifth album, Piece of Mind.
