Recipient of numerous awards over the years, including the 2018 Stingray Star Award, the Félix Award for Album of the Year – Jazz at ADISQ 2015 (Quantum), the Prix Opus 2013-14 for Jazz Album of the Year (Transit), and the Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation Award 2014-2015, the Emie R Roussel Trio has established itself as a staple of the Canadian jazz scene. With five albums to its credit that have been acclaimed by both national and international audiences and critics since its founding in 2010, the trio has also had the opportunity to shine on the international scene many times, presenting its music in 12 countries, on 4 continents.
