Ariane Racicot

Ariane Racicot is a jazz pianist and composer from Montreal who mixes metal, Latin and classical styles. She released her first album “Envolée” in 2022, which was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and was met with widespread critical acclaim. This album earned her the Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation 2022-2023 award. Ariane is immediately invited to play the first part of Wynton Marsalis at the Montreal International Jazz Festival at Place des Arts in June 2022.

Her music is coloured by her many inspirations, including Tigran Hamasyan, Hiromi Uehara, Avishai Cohen and Keith Jarrett. She is also influenced by a number of metal bands she has listened to since she was a teenager.
