3x GRAMMY-nominated trumpeter, composer, producer, and bandleader Rachel Therrien is celebrated for her emotionally powerful sound, fearless improvisation, and genre-expanding artistic vision. Based between New York City, Montreal, and Havana, she merges contemporary jazz with Afro-diasporic traditions, weaving Afro-Caribbean and Latin American rhythmic forms into a bold modern voice.
Winner of the TD Grand Prize Jazz Award and the Stingray Rising Star Award, Therrien is also a multiple JUNO and ADISQ nominee. She leads the acclaimed Latin Jazz Project (Mi Hogar II) and the duo Dialogue with pianist Albert Marqués (Chronograph Records), and has performed worldwide at Blue Note NYC, SFJAZZ, and the Hollywood Bowl.
