Philippe Côté

Montreal-based composer, saxophonist, improviser and conductor Philippe Côté is a musical explorer at the crossroads of jazz and classical music. He has composed for the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal, the Canadian National Jazz Orchestra, the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, the Ensemble Paramirabo, and has collaborated with the Saguenay Quartet, New York pianist Marc Copland and saxophonist David Binney. In 2022-2023, Philippe will present two projects where jazz meets contemporary music: his Chamber 5tet with pianist François Bourassa and trumpeter Jacques Kuba Séguin and his duo Confluence with François Bourassa.
